Home Links Latest: Launch, Team Growth and Award Nomination

We hope you all had a wonderful summer. Ours was busy to say the least!

Here, we take a moment to reflect on some of our latest milestones and share exciting updates within our community.

Home Links Physiotherapy

On 1st August, we officially launched our new brand, Home Links Physiotherapy, marking the start of a significant new era for JLinks.

Our company remains JLinks Physiotherapy Ltd, and there will be no changes to the services we provide or how payments are made. We hope you like our new brand name, which better reflects what we offer - home-visit physiotherapy.

As always, our physiotherapy support is underpinned by the core values of:

  • Excellence

  • Integrity

  • Compassion

  • Collaboration

Joanna recounts her experience of the launch and what the future holds for her clients and team.

Home Links Launch Event

A Message from Joanna

I couldn’t be prouder. We have refreshed our Vision and Values while retaining our core mission of providing excellent home-visiting Physiotherapy!

A huge thank you to the amazing team at JLinks Physiotherapy, Helen Walls, for creating the evening, and my friend Jessie Lilley, who delivered the most inspiring keynote speech.

Jo & Jessie

Everyone in the room heard how Jessie (an amazing mum, woman and business owner) has built and continues to grow a compassionate and successful business through a franchised model. Together, we celebrated success and were reminded of how important community is to building strong, sustainable businesses.

It was an honour to have the Mayor of Bexley join us on the evening to toast the success of all local businesses.

A big shoutout to The Star, Sidcup, who are now a brilliant venue under the management of Pete. Another shoutout to Taking The Pixels, who brought their cameras to gift some photos to us.

Most of all, thank you to everyone who joined us – your support made the launch such a success.

Launch Event Attendees

After the event, we received many kind and encouraging words from our supportive community. Here are some of them:

“Joanna hosted a brilliant evening at The Star at Sidcup Place to celebrate this next chapter, and it was a real privilege to be part of it.

From inspiring speeches to a heartfelt toast (with the Mayor of Bexley, Cllr Christine Catterall, in attendance too!), it was a night to remember.”

“Attending the launch of Home Links Physiotherapy…was truly inspiring. Joanna’s dedication and passion for providing exceptional physiotherapy services were evident, leaving us excited for what’s to come.

The event was a wonderful celebration, with the Mayoress of Bexley, Cllr Christine Catterall, marking the occasion and a touching keynote speech by Jessie Lilley.

At Walfinch Homecare, we are excited about the potential for collaboration with local providers like JLinks Physiotherapy.”

“I had the absolute privilege of attending the Home Links Physiotherapy launch event as Jo’s business, JLinks Physiotherapy, moves into a new and exciting era. It was a wonderful evening of connection and inspiration.

I spoke about the 4 company values of Jo’s business and how, despite our industries being very different, those key values are the same: Excellence, Integrity, Compassion and Collaboration.

And then I added one of my own, my favourite one… COMMUNITY. A business needs a community, and I felt that in abundance on Friday night.”

Keep Moving This Autumn: Home Physiotherapy Reminders

Keep Active this Autumn

Autumn has arrived! We always encourage our clients to embrace the natural beauty of the season and avoid a slump as the weather turns. Keep your body thriving through autumn with these three important reminders:

Overcome Autumn Lethargy with Movement

Sometimes, shorter days and cooler evenings lead to reduced activity levels. Unfortunately, this can worsen existing aches and pains.

Create a morning and evening routine and set reminders to stand and stretch. Continue your Physiotherapy exercises and ask your Physiotherapist for some Indoor Exercise options.

Ready Your Body for Cold-Weather Sports

If you’re planning to hit the slopes, go hiking or start indoor fitness routines, your body needs preparation.

Building strength and stamina is essential to avoid injury. Consider a pre-season Physiotherapy check-in to identify any muscle imbalances or mobility restrictions and ensure you enjoy your winter activities pain-free.

Don’t Let Joint Stiffness Settle

Lower temperatures often lead to increased joint stiffness and muscle tension. If you’ve been putting off that nagging knee pain or shoulder discomfort, now is the time to book a Physiotherapy Assessment.

Early intervention can prevent minor issues from becoming major problems as we approach the winter season.

Welcome to the Home Links Team!

We are delighted to welcome Gemma to our team.

Gemma - Physiotherapist

“Hi, I am Gemma, and I live on the outskirts of Thanet in Kent. I grew up in the lovely seaside town of Broadstairs and know the surrounding areas very well. I am looking to build my physiotherapy clientele within my hometown and the neighbouring areas, including Canterbury, Whitstable and Herne Bay.

I love working with people in their own environment and have seen that this is where functional rehab comes into its own, creating quality of life improvements. I have enjoyed promoting wellness and injury rehab through all aspects of my career.

Alongside my family, my other love is horses. My passion for them started as a young 8-year-old, and within the last 6 years, I have also integrated rehab care for them when I qualified as an equine sports massage therapist.”

We are excited to have Gemma on board and look forward to the positive impact she will bring to our community.

In addition, two new Physiotherapy Assistants have joined our practice. Welcome to Debbie and Geeta, who are ready to make a difference in their community.
